[Suggestion] NB Poetry Contest

I'd like to propose a Contest section for Poetry, with its own Award/Medal would that be possible?
There are many members interested in poetry here and a lot of them post frequently but they get little to no feedback, I think this would be a good way to reward and motviate them.

Out of all the contests in here I'm surprise there's not a poem one lol , I think is a great idea u_u .

Moreso than fanfiction, I personally think poetry is far too subjective and broad. There's a lot of different things to consider.

For all we know, I could write,

"Eating in the darkness,
I begin my search,
For that perfect sandwich."

^and that could be considered a legitimate form of poetry in certain circles.

If we were to do this, it would have to be like the AoTW, with a certain theme (dark, nature, etc) or style (iambic pentameter, haikus) each week.

Just my $0.02. I do like the idea, though.

There is going to be a rap contest in two weeks but its not hosted by mods. it will will be moderated by Members, if you want more info PM me.
Mods don't want to host a Rap battle because there is usually too much profanity when things get serious lol.

..but this is Rejection Section, it'll probably be Rejected.

In my own opinion, I will reiterate to you what has been told time and time again. You are more than welcome to make your own poem contest in the Poetry section. There is no need to make a new section as that would be quite redundant. Get people to participate in a organized manner and after a couple of weeks/months, if there is still interest and the contest goes smoothly then you can bring up to one of the admins, mainly Zise. If it is big and popular enough then medals/cyan can be added as a form of prize along with it's own medal if possible. However, I agree with Souji that poetry itself is too subjective and broad. If you guys need a host, you can always ask me to do it. I can do the thread and have it run alongside the FUB Contest (though not in the same section) >_>.

Also, Rasentoad notified me several months ago that Lawliet stated she'll talk about it with the admins when the registrations opens back up (this was before registrations opened, obviously). This isn't confirmed, but something Rasentoad told me in a PM.
