Now that our beloved Naruto series is over, some of you might be searching for new manga or anime to move into. Well why not make this thread your personal recommendations of the manga and anime to those members?
Since I am more like an anime lover, here are mine recommendations.
City Hunter (Anime)
Old is Gold. I finished watching this anime last month. If you are looking for a fun anime with lots of comedy, action, drama and with a crime fiction then it's a good decision. The protagonist here is a "sweeper" who gets rid of the bad guys and crimes in the city. He is more like an underground hero who serves the city from the shadows. The comedy side of him is that he is a pervert and likes flirting women even though deep inside, he loves his partner Kaori. You will really enjoy this anime, so give it a shot.
Gash Bell
I watched the anime when I was a kid. It's about a demon trying to become a king in his world. For that he needs a human partner because he can be controlled only through the book. The story revolves around him fighting other competitors for the position of the king. But eventually he learns the true meaning of the king and forms a deep connection with his human partner. But the anime changes the voice character of the main character at the last arc and it kinda ruins everything, the story itself ends differently as that of the manga. So the choice is up to you.
Code Geass Relouch of the rebellion
A must watch anime. The story, action, and drama everything is just perfect. The ending is will just blow your mind. The story is about……just watch it already.
Clannad and Clannad after Story
This is a sad anime but you will enjoy it. Yeah the character design might look unappealing but the story is good. I enjoyed the Clannad after story though. But if you are planning to watch it then you should watch both the anime, the story progresses from Clannad. But beware, the anime is really sad and depressing at certain points then again maybe it’s because of that the anime is worth watching. Spoiler alert: It’s happy ending though.
FMA Brotherhood
Yet another wonderful anime. As the name suggest the story shows a deep connection between brothers. The story is about two brothers who tried to bring back their dead mother through magic but failed with sacrifice of the body of a brother and a hand of another. Their journey to become normal again is what the rest of the story is.
Nurahiyon no mago
An underrated anime and manga. The story is about a child of a demon who has a demon king lurking inside him. His path to become a true warrior and king of all, is what the story is about. The anime ended without any conclusion so you might want to read the manga to see how it actually ended.
Attack on Titan
This anime will blow your mind. It takes you to a whole different world and gives you the horror and unexpected death which the mainstream anime and manga are lacking. Since the anime ended at season I and season II might be released next year, you might have to read the manga once you finish the anime.
Hunter X Hunter 2011
With improved graphics and music, the Hunter X Hunter 2011 anime has covered almost all the manga chapters released till the great hiatus. The story is about a boy who is trying to become a full-fledged Hunter following the path of his father. Yeah it might sound like the Naruto series but it’s quite different.
Naruto SD
It’s a light hearted anime with Rock lee as the main character. You might not want to miss this anime because it gives you a different kind of fun probably the comedy the main series was lacking.
One Piece
An epic series full of adventure, drama, fantasy and action. You won't regret it. Even Kishi seems to a fan of this series. There is the luffy's pirate sign on the forehead of Hokage Naruto in today's chapter. I have not yet read the manga but people say it's a lot more fun than anime. I am more of an anime guy so I recommend the anime. It is slow pacing though so you might want to check your schedule before you jump into the anime because once you start you won't be leaving until you catch up to the latest release.
Bleach
It is yet another most watched anime if you ask me. The graphics, the way they show power and the music everything is just perfect. The anime however ended last year so you might want to read the manga after you are done watching the anime.
Fairy Tail
As the name suggest the series is about fairies but not our regular old fairies. Here the main character is a dragon slayer and belongs to a guild called fairy tail. The story revolves around him and the guild. The second season of the anime has continued this year so you have a lot of episodes to watch before you can catch up with the latest releases.
