NB Book/Page/Thread of terms?

I was on a thread the other day where several people were asking for the meaning of several abbreviated terms, and it got me thinking...would anyone find it useful to have a thread or page where all shortened terms are listed as well as a brief description of what they mean?

I'm pretty much up to date with most abbreviations (I think) but I think it could be great for new users as I went through the same problem when I joined and it took a bit of getting used to.

Note: I'm not really sure about how I go about suggesting this as a proper idea so I thought i'd put it up as a thread instead and see what others think.

Thoughts? Would it be beneficial?

It might be useful for new members, since they probably wouldn't be aware of the terms used.
It would be alot of work, but good suggestion.
