Now we all know that there are just too many possibilities when it comes to Natsu's future transformation and how it will undergo if it will undergo......but one thing that all of you must have noticed is that his scarf is a special one....yes it is made up of dragon scales can keep out black magic but there is another thing that i have noticed.......lets take a look at the following series of events...

Here is what i think...that Natsu's scarf is actually a spirit realm clothing..Igneel made it with the help of Anna heratfilia who embedded spirit magic into the scarf.
3. We saw on tenrou island that scarf protected Natsu from death magic of zeref. now zeref as i believe uses curses thats why his spells are much more stronger. Ankhserum's curse as the name says it all is a curse..its effect was stopped by the scarf..so for now we can say for sure scarf is resistant to curses.
4. Acnologia's appearance has always been marked by the time when Natsu uses high quality magic and is not wearing his scarf....On tenrou island he didn't have it on him for a brief moment during his fight with hades, his battle with Mard geer and also after fighting Zeref he did not have it in the infirmary..all these events were followed by Acnologia's appearance..it might be pure coincidence or it might be due to the fact that scarf suppresses the powers of END within Natsu's body..it not only prevents the curses from going in but also prevents their power from coming out......
so what i think is that his scarf is the key to unlocking his demonic powers...maybe it acts like a supressor or it acts like a seal..it is an established fact that Natsu is inseparable from his scarf..but what will happen if scarf was destroyed somehow...will it awaken the etherious within Natsu..it is a possibility that can not be ignored...what do you guys think??? Do you think that his scarf might be a key connecting Anna heartfilia, END and Natsu somehow..............?
