Somehow I think that Acnologia Knows who Natsu is, and he wants to kill him as quick as possible, at the Tartoros Arc he was flyin right above Natsu team, jst until Igneel showed up.
I believe he senses Natsu power combined with Zeref, if Acnologia wanted to Kill zeref, he would have approached him long time ago.
Now suddenly where Natsu it fightin at full power Acnologia shows up, he senses this power and wants to eliminate it before it becomes a real threat, Natsu might not know of his etherious powers but somehow those power lick of him.....he is always fightin at full power, even against the weak. So in other words, Natsu is that Guy who will gve u his all at all times, jst that when he fight monsters he gets stronger on that fight, after he toke a beating.
So Acnologia is indeed afraid of Natsu Vast powers, as he can easily become stronger than Zeref and Acnologia Knows that fact as he sees himself on level strength with Zeref.
