I am pretty sure that those pictures you posted of the fragment and crater, spifically state that the meteor was 150ft (45m) when it hit the earth. Which implies that it was significantly larger prior to atmospheric contact.

2012 DA14 was spotted in late February & was first predicted it would hit within a year, saying it would be 17,000 miles from the Earth, which is even closer than the satellites.

Afterwards, 2012 DA14 will come by the Earth again but chances are slim for it to hit us.

Oh, I wouldn't count on our atmosphere to reduce the asteroid to mere rubble. At the velocity it'll be going, it can cause serious damage if it were to hit a city.

I think I've heard many stories about random pieces of space rock/ice just falling through people's house roofs. I have also heard that there are many pieces of spacejunk that fall to the Earth each year.

Omg cos your so funny! The picture youv got is an asteroid in saturns rings. They took a picture of it cos its special. See the little rock next to it. That is orbiting the asteroid so technically it has a moon.

And i dont think its going to escape saturns gravity anytime soon.
