Itachi was the all mighty solo king, that was all we need to know going into this. Anyway, Kishi blessed this as part of his story. Most of what's in the novels lines up with the manga

This was solid proof Itachi was the solo king. This episode just proved the real power of Amaterasu and the Sharingan eye in general. Nobody can stand a chance against the Uchihas in reality, I bet even Kishimoto if he could, would change the show's name to Uchiha.
