i think if naruto gets a weapon, it should not necessarily be a blade because he can channel his wind nature into or through it to form a blade. I think instead of a blade (the blade is so overused, and :naruto:doesn't need a blade cause he can mold wind into blades) he should have a either a fan or club type weapon.
the fan is self explanatory, he would use it to create a gust of chakra infused wind nature that he could mold into blades of needles. I think the idea of a club type weapon would be interesting because opponents will assume it is a blocking/blunt attack weapon, when actually naruto channels his wind chakra through it to create sharp edges that cut through blades as they are blocked. a combination of these two weapons would be perfect for naruto imo.
a cricket mallet-like flat club (made of same metal used for chakra blades) that can be swung to create a medium to long range wind attack (since naruto lacks ranged attacks aside from FRS), and can be used in close quarters hand to hand fighting... focusing wind chakra and sharpening edges would provide :naruto: a weapon to counter :sasuke: sword. a weapon that can perform medium to long range wind attacks, block and can be used as an oversized sword. i think it would be beyond awesome.
