But what people don't understand is that Naruto's attempt at TNJ( even though he's not really doing that ) against obito is a battle of IDEAS, Obito is trying to create and IDEAL world by nearly destroying the current world. Naruto is fighting against Obito's IDEALISM so he has to counter that by using his own IDEALS. This current battle is just naruto trying to protect the world. On the Nagato matter, Sachchidanand explained it perfectly.

Its a battle of ideals, the manga itself is a very idealistic manga about never giving up on the world.
