Naruto's Speed?

Anyone noticed that he hasn't been using it? Why would Kishi give him this speed feat as the fastest shinobi alive only to get owned by Tobi's six paths in some Taijutsu? It doesn't make sense for him only to use his speed in emergencies like when Kakashi and Gai were in trouble. Minato was always maxed out on speed even in base so why is it that Naruto is mainly using regular speed in chakra arms mode?
