Naruto's speed ability

My question is the following, OK so naruto is extremely fast, could be comparable to the speed of light. so why in the world does naruto struggle to catch up with tobi when he meely fights? naruto could easily run so fast that tobi would struggle to see him and would have lost a long time ago. no bashing of naruto or tobi, but is tobi also that fast?:shrug:

I think tobi's jutsu allows him to become intagible in an instant. Despite naruto's incredible speed you can't hit someone with no mass. I don't think he is the speed of light by the way.

First Naruto isn't even close being compare to the speed of light. Second the reason why Naruto is having a hard time catching Tobi is because of his Kamui.

Tobi could just stay intangible he would never hit him, so he needs Kakashi to kumai him inside his dimension

About that scene, I know that Tobi would survive that because he still has some dialogues and fighting to do. But to think - a rasengan to the face, I think he should've died there instantly. Remembering the water tank during the first Sasuke-Naruto clash. Oh well. Just something I wanted to vent out. XD

it's because he's not fast as he seemed. Kishimoto always do this look at all of Naruto's powerups what do they have in common..... speed. Remember 0 tails/kyuubi eye's, too fast for haku and neji look at it now, ha. 1 tail overpowered vs Sasuke not anymore though. 4 tails looked unbeatable but Guy and Kakashi was just soloing the beast. now we have kcm not as fast as it seemed.

well tobi has sharingan so he can predict movements, to the extent that he basickly see naruto in slow motion, so yeah naruto's speed would count for less agenst someone like tobi
