You know, I was pretty pissed when you first sent me a message on this, I hate PM/VM thread advertising.
But I read it and saw that it wasn't a half assed theory, but well thought out and deserved the attention. So + rep and good thread.

heheh thankz bro

However, I have a question: are sealing techs considered an affinity?
Because if so, then he is more likely to learn sealing techniques, and here's why-

True, the whirlpool could be considered a hint towards water affinity... but it could also refer to the marking on his stomach, which is in the shape of a whirlpool, bought on by a seal. And since his parents were beasts in sealing techs, it just seems more likely to me that he would obtain training in sealing techs by somebody in his final fight.

But that's just my thought, not that water is totally out of the equation though. But then again, that will totally depend also on the location of the final fight. If it's in a barren wasteland or somewhere that's completely dry, then water release would be useless, compared to sealing techs that will always be in style, regardless of the climate or surroundings.

It's completely possible and in my opinion well over due. The Rasenshuriken is kinda a mix of water and wind in and of it self, those chakra needles that come from it remind me of Haku's needles.

OH MY!! What about all of these "No where should kishi put that ääw..blablabla" comments?? Kishi said in a interview that he think of naruto and sasuke as a pair that means when he writes about naruto he also must think about sasuke ..Sasuke has two elements raiton and katon and OF COURSEE naruto will also gets two he already has fuuton and as well gets suiton. Kishimoto also said that the two are opposites ..like ying and yang. This means that their power equalisises eachother. And we know : Suiton < Katon < Fuuton < Raiton but I think it could happen that Sasuke gets Doton if he works together with Madara because of, yes we all know what I mean, SENJU DNA!

IMO:
-What is the 2nd element most likely for Naruto to learn?
I am in agreement with Water.

-Will Naruto learn a second element in the manga?
No the story arc is showing that him being the jinchūriki for the 10 tails (or more than one beast). Which is far more likely than training in a Second Element. I am going off of the 1-9 Tails as babies talking to the Sage and pretty much all convo that exists in that jinchūriki plane up to date. To sum up - far to much to do before learning a second element by manga's end.

-Will Naruto learn a second element in the anime?
I am sure we will get a stand alone movie or anime ending with Naruto in the future showing him as Hokage whipping out some fun techniques which could include a second element.

-Has Naruto already given up on learning a second element?
Yes he has! Or was I the only one that remembers the Tranny Frog he summons to use water based techniques in conjunction with his own tech. Much like Jiraya using Frogs on his shoulders (and many other references), Ninja use summons/team comp/weapons/surroundings to augment their tech.

-Why does Team Naruto think Team Sasuke will rage over Naruto getting a second element?
Because by the time Naruto and Sasuke square off against each other, Naruto will have fought MANY Rinnegan and Sharingan users including the O.G. Madara. He will have mad combat experience against such and really how many times since Sasuke split has Sasuke seen Naruto's kit? We shouldn't rage but rather ask the question "With the amount of beat down Naruto has developed already, would Naruto gaining a second element make the final fight better or worse?"

It just might be possible and why not because if you remember in the arc that had guren(the woman who uses crystal/diamond jutsu) whilst naruto was learning collaboration jutsu with that girly toad who can shoot water from it's mouth and about naruto getting water as a second element funnily enough whilst naruto was learning collaboration jutsu naruto tried to shoot water from his mouth but couldn't but when he collaborated with the girly toad he combined his wind element perfectly with the toads water ability and later on he used the colaboration tec to smash gurens crystal/diamond jutsu so maybe just maybe naruto might aquire water element.

Is very possible for him to gain water affinity. I always thought he would ever since naruto was told to watch out for sasukes fire style.
Water style combos would be sick like yamato and narutos or gamakitchis n narutos.
He should definitely learn more wind style Justus first though
Water is perfect for him because resengan is already like whirlpool. With perfect shape n chakra manipulation + sage mode naruto could invent some Nasty techniques.
Haha maybe he could use gale style if he mastered water.
Sadly this is only possible if there's another time skip. Would b awesome if before naru sasuke fight sasuke was like "this is not the proper place for our final battle, meet me at the valley of end on the night of the next full moon" or something that gave him time to train and master water.
