The September issue of Shueisha's Saikyo Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that a new spin-off manga of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto will begin in the November issue, which is scheduled to be released on October 3. The spin-off titled Uchiha Sasuke no Shuringan Den (Sasuke Uchiha's Shuringan Legend) will be drawn by Kenji Taira.

The manga will revolve around Sasuke Uchiha, a user of the Sharingan eye. Although he is usually cool, he also has a humorous side to him.

Sasuke is getting his own manga but Naruto isn't, Do you think it's fair?

If it's like the Rock lee stuff I'm in. I only like Sasuke as a antagonist, but I'm down for this if it's funny.

I WANT A PREQUEL TRILO-...I mean, a series that takes place before Naruto, first telling the story of Indra and Ashura, all the way up to Obito and the formation of the Akatsuki.

If this is real it could be really cool. Maybe it'll show Sasuke in a different light and give a more first handed view of his story.

Naruto already is a joke in his manga. Why would he want to be a joke in someone else's manga?

The point of these Chibi-Inspired Spin-Offs is to take the focus off of the main protagonist and place it on other popular, yet often excluded, less expanded characters. Rock Lee was the first. While Sasuke wasn't found on the sidelines as much as Lee during the Naruto Series, there are entire arcs where he was absent. Also, aside from being cold, cynical, and arrogant, there is very little of Sasuke's personality that we've been exposed to; as GhostProject suggested, it may give us a different view into how he sees things. It's completely fair, Naruto has been the core of the entire franchise, and we pretty much know him inside out from the Anime/Manga; he doesn't need a spin-off centered around him.
