Everyone thinks naruto did this on purpose but he was actually forced into this state when pein stabbed him with his chakra stick.

Let me explain firstly to make sage charkra you need to harmonize SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL ENERGY (NORMAL CHAKRA) with NATURAL ENERGY. When Pein took control of naruto's normal chakra, it was no longer blocking the kyubbi's chakra, which added to or took the place of naruto's normal chakra in the sage chakra eqaution. Therefore forcing sennin kyuubi mode. I seriously doubt he would use this mode in battle and even if he dose it won't be for a while.
