don't need to. He goes on to specifically say the village they created. Madara accepting the truce ended that period because it became an example for other countries to do the same. What Madara meant by saying "my dream is coming to an end, yours hasn't yet." was him actually referring to Hashirama's way of cooperating with others to achieve peace.
"village we desire" not the "village we created". ;] Hashirama at the time believed Madara also desired the village.. but the truth was far from it.

And also, actually no. It was Hashirama offering the truce, and showing dedication that co-operation between the 2 clans meant more to him than his life ;p. Madara is important as Tobirama when it comes to the founding.

Furthermore, Hashirama solely was recognized as the creator of the village (something uchiha admit). And no the dream was about Hashirama's dream to make a village and unite the world.. his dream hasn't ended yet, because he has indirectly raised generations that will carry on that dream.

Hashirama says it here as well:"We then started building the village...

Afterwards, we also joined hands with the Fire Country and went on to create a peaceful nation that would consider the country and the village on the same lvl."

Madara was by and large forgotten in Konoha by the time Naruto and Sasuke were born, and even after Kakashi saw the aftermath of Naruto and Sasuke's VotE fight, he recounted Madara as being the co-founder of Konoha. It is even revealed in Hashirama's story that Madara was the one who gave the place its name. If he never accepted the truce, there would be no village. If Konoha didn't exist, there wouldn't have been an inclination in other countries to strike a truce. If that doesn't happen, the Warring States Period would've continued.

That scan was referring to "senju and uchiha".

And also, no Madara was not forgotten. Its simply that he didn't stand on the level of Hashirama..... For him to accept the truce, there would need to be a truce. And for him to accept the truce, Hashirama could've died in the process. Madara was partially forced to accept the truce. He accepted because he saw something in Hashirama, that later he didn't see i guess.

Madara gave the name... Tobirama implanted the structure.. yet Hashirama is still the guy who founded the village lol. It was his hard work, his endurance of hate/pain/sorrow and of course understanding..
