Naruto's relationship with the Kyuubi question:

I'm on Shippuden 277 currently, and Naruto still hasn't made friends with the Kyuubi. I know that this tailed beast isn't really one that wants to make friends so easily, but do the two of them ever become friends and actually cooperate with each other? (Like with Jinchuuriki transformation/not eating at Naruto's chakara when he's in 9 tails true form)

The best way to find out is to read the manga. The manga is far into the series and isn't roadblocked by fillers.
