It was a nice find. Folks should also be aware that Kishimoto blends other similar legends from other stories and even personal details from the author of those stories personal life to build his characters. The famous playwright Kawataki Mokuami, who turned The Tales of Gallant Jiraya into a Kabuki play, was disowned by his family for frequenting the Geisha quarters. Jiraiya writes, does Kabuki dance intros and is a pervert as well in homage.
