Alright my question is quite simple so here it goes Why is it that naruto is still a genin when he obviously has the skills of a higher ranked ninja ?:shrug:

He didnt pass the Chunnin exams but now he could probably since hes smarter but he could just become kage level without the exams. Hes saving the world and the exams will useless he got trained by Kakashi,Killer Bee,Jaraiya. Hes pretty dam strong..

its possible that he may automatically be given jounin rank because he is awesome and all but its also possible that there is a secret rank or something like that. the only known ranks right know seem to be gennin, chuunin, jounin, ANBU and kage.

Actually there is no need for him to take the chunin exam, that whole ting is just to sort out the candidates... you have to remember that those who are watching (high level ninjas, kages) are the ones who decide who gets promoted and who doesn't. Remember that even if you win, even if you are the last one, that does not guarantee that you will become a chunin.
And now honestly do you see Naruto taking such an exam? Maybe only in base mode, and no rasenshuriken so that his enemies still have a chance xd

that's not very likely considering narutos skills. even if konohamaru does become chuunin before naruto he still wont compare to naruto at all. having a title doesn't automatically make you better than everyone else.

While he might be promoted to chunnin, its unlikely that he will be promoted to jounin. He may have kage level power, but he has yet to display the leadership skills and self control required to become a jounin.

There is a special jounin rank, but they are for special considerations like Might Guy who specializes in taijutsu, and therefore teaches students who mainly use taijutsu(Lee, Neji, and Tenten), and Ibiki, who is a Special forces and Interrogation specialist who teaches those in the area of interrogation and information gathering(Anko). Even then, they demonstrate leadership on the battlefield and during missions.
