Naruto Shippuden has some good tracks but yeah, overall, I agree.

Plus when I heard the naruto main theme play in The Last it killed me.

Naruto has an average soundtrack, though it fits the setting really well, I wouldn't be listen to the ost's outside of the anime. Well unless you count openings and endings.

Debatable, Original naruto has some nice gems (main theme, hokage's funerals, and a few unreleased ones like that one kimimaro theme). These are just from the top of my head, I'm sure there are more.

Shippuden had really good tracks too IMO (Girei, kakuzu, kouen, Maisou, Huricane suite, akatsuki, kokuten, senya and a bunch of other unreleased gems). Plus, there are a few tracks from some of the movies that were awesome (Hishou from the 4th movie and breakdown from RTN).

So I dunno, for me, I'd say that I prefer the shippuden OST since it has more memorable songs but I do like the ost for part 1 also.

But heh, at the end of the day, it all comes down to personnal preferences

I think that's why i don't like it, because a long ass time ago when i was depressed I started watching this show/rewatching it, and since shippuden took away the nice friendly OST I wasn't that happy about it.
