Do you think that if Naruto had his fathers name "namikaze" things would have been different. Maybe more dangerous. I know the 3rd gave him the name uzumaki but I always thought that the name uzumaki might have made his life more dangerous or difficult considering nearly his entire family based on his mothers side were wiped out based on their sealing technique. If Narutos last name was for his own protection why not pick his fathers name?? it might be just me but I though it might make more sense to have his last name as namikaze

Yes, it would have ben dangerous on two accounts,1 Other Villages might have wanted to take Kurama for their own Host to use. 2 Naruto has His mother Uzumaki chakra that is better suited to control Kurama the reason why the Cloud Village attempted to capture Kushina to study Her chakra.
