So in the latest episode we got to see Naruto's Kyuubi Mode Cloak... What did you think about the color choice of the animators? Did it look a little CGI to you or was that just me? I don't really know how to explain it.... It just looked weird. I liked the gold base color with the reddish-orange tips but the whole thing just looked kinda out of place with the rest of the animation in the episode... Just share your thoughts and agree or disagree with... Enjoy!

It was definitely strange - like you said it was CGI-ish at one point. I would prefer a more super saiyan type cloak as far as the amount of power being shown (see sig)

but anyhow - i'm not going to complain because its still awesome

I thought it was really amazing. I liked how it was different from the rest of the animation. Makes it unique, I guess. Just imagine him like that when he's fighting Itachi, Madara and Tobi. I can't wait to see him in action. ^_^

Yes it does stand for Computer Generated Images. CGI is 3D animation, like Shrek and Finding Nemo for example. There are different CGI levels however, the graphic can be more detailed or enhanced, like Smeagol, Davy Jones and King Kong are all CGI as well.

There is a simple reason for the look in the anime. It is CGI around him because it is difficult to animate this by hand all the time every episode. You never see everything in the image move in every frame. Its why peoples bodies dont generally move while talking and so on. The aura around naruto moves all the time like flames so this would be difficult to have to move every single frame without CGI.

I wanted to ask about this before we saw it in the anime if it would pose a problem for the animators. Primarily because of one of the notes Kishi left early in the manga. The reason for the forehead protectors was because naruto's goggles were too difficult to draw all the time and became very frustrating. I wanted to ask what they would intend to do for his chakra flames in the anime. Now I know.
