Naruto at least has a large variety of Rasengans/modes/clones. We just see him allot is why you feel it's overused.

I think that is the main strength of naruto. Limited jutsu but with lots of imaginations. There is no point having numerous of jutsus without having the will to carry it. His jutsus are just enough for everything atm.

Before the Pain Arc i would agree with you, but now that he has acquired techniques such as perfect sage mode, BM Mode, and all of his rasengan variants that come with those two modes, he is much more interesting to watch fight. Plus his fights are the only fights in the Naruto Anime that demonstrate his impressive level of creativity. An example of this would be how he used 3rd Raikage's own technique to defeat him.

I guess it all comes down to what's boring for each person. I enjoy the Rasengan variations, and I think calling that "spamming" is totally unfair. That's simply Naruto's fighting style. It's like blaming Shikamaru for using variations of his Kagemane or Chouji for using variations of Baika no Jutsu. I personally think what's boring is Sasuke's constant usage of Susano'o. If he wanted to use it only for resisting techniques like RasenShuriken or Bijuu Dama, then that's fine. But he uses it for absolutely everything, including Taijutsu and Shuriken Jutsu... That's quite disappointing. Hebi Sasuke had badass Taijutsu and Shunshin no Jutsu. Current Sasuke doesn't seem to know how to do anything besides Susano'o.

This^ besides, the way naruto fights is by using simple, but very effective techniques, from watching the anime and reading the manga, i noticed that he doesnt know prefer using multiple hand signs, so using rasegan and shadow clones makes sense for him
