So here is my beef with Kishi in regards to the character Naruto. NARUTO HAS TOO FEW JUTSU IN HIS ARSENAL!!! Think about it. Kishi really screwed Naruto during the whole wind nature chakra time period. That was a chance for Naruto to learn or create many new long ranged wind techniques. As we have seen very few wind jutsu and there are few wind types, this was a chance to really show a unique characteristic in Naruto's abilities. Perhaps like Tobirama Senju (2nd Hokage) is the greatest water style shinobi, Naruto could go down in history as the greatest wind style shinobi. I'm sick of the rasengan and all of its variations. Here are a few of my ideas on Naruto's wind techniques:
1) Air Wall - a great wall of air surrounds naruto and repels all physical attacks and weapons.
2) Forrest Cutter - this technique covers a massive area and slices anything in its path like trees, people, etc...
3) Raging Sky Technique - This would be one of those major jutsu that requires hand signs and chakra build up (u know for dramatic effect). Naruto would release pure wind chakra that only spins clockwise or counterclockwise and form a huge tornado or hurricane depending on environment and amount of chakra used. This would be good for fighting armies or large enemies like TBs.
4.) Wind clones - These clones would move faster than normal clones and when they are hit they release a wind explosion with concussive force. Similar to Itachi's water clones.
These are just a few ideas on how to make Naruto more epic and gain him more fan boys lol.
My next issue is that naruto seems to only have wind nature. I think he should discover an affinity for earth style and the ability to use his mom's chains. He eventually should master the seals that the Uzamaki clan are known for as well.
Another way to make Naruto more of a fan preference would b to give him the ability to summon all the TBs. With all the chakra naruto has he should be pumping out all kinds of wind attacks, defenses, etc...
Also, someone needs to go into that room with the forbidden jutsu where naruto learned shadow clones and learn more of those techniques. I'm sure they are awesome, even though they come with a cost, but what jutsu doesn't?
Perhaps the 9 tails could teach naruto some of the sage's techniques. That would be EPIC!!!
If Naruto is going to be the star of the series Kishi really needs to make him more impressive. Rasengan and its various forms are old and tired. In my opinion Naruto is just a huge chakra pool that is barely being used, but has great potential.
