Naruto's ignorance.

That's not my issue. It's that all of this seems to go right back to Naruto supposedly tnj-ing people. I'm sorry, but that in itself is just a small piece of the real issue here. There are no answers to questions Kishi is forcing Naruto to answer. The only real way to get through these things is unfortunately TNJ.

The entire fabric of most of these themes is irreparably flawed. Naruto's naivety is just more collateral damage. And you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Naruto is simply not the kind of guy that can even answer these things. His situation does not give him the resources to get those answers.

It's a lose-lose situation Kishi set up for his story and the main character, and Naruto's own character is really only a small portion of this. You guys need to look at the whole picture here. It's easy to rag on Naruto's character for these shortcomings, but when the kid is setup to fail, complaining about it is a little redundant.

I'm usually calm and cool when it comes to the Naruto criticism, but I just want to make sure we're all clear on this: He ain't the problem. As annoying as it is to see him regress into these moments, I'm tired of seeing TNJ being brought up and only Naruto's character getting criticized when the list of issues revolving around this is ceiling high.

As adults, we tend to make things unnecessarily complicated. It isn't anymore of everyone deciding to do what is right. Instead there are so many steps and laws that overcomplicate things like helping people. In that, you lose yourself and your humanity because people are only in for their own interest. Naruto's simplistic outlook helps bring perspective back. Like he did with Neji, Gaara, Nagato, and the other people he has touched. By challenging old ideas with a simplistic view on life, or rather thinking as a child, one can break the chains of duty and beliefs. It is similar to what happens in America. People go in with many dreams and ideas to help the nation but instead they become corrupted because there are so many laws and social statuses that must be held in order to stay in office. People lost their humanity and as a consequence the nation pays for it and breed hatred. It's sad to see and hear about it. They become pressured to do things that they wish they hadn't and only end up hurting themselves and all for what?

Sassy one, I see. At least they're far more interesting then the oh so common "I'll be good and wipe away evil for the sake of it! Cause I have no ulterior motives or grudges!" Type character. I mean, I DID like Goku.. I guess seeing him again shouldn't be that bad..

This seems moe plausable in order to him having a deeper aspect; but yeah; this is gonna be a lovey-dovey story.
His character needs to improve in such regard; maybe others around him will change him as interaction; not him just preachin.

I suspect we may get a 'glimpse of the future' depicting how older and much wiser he has become. Or, perhaps a speech after the war that is realistic and profound.

Yes, character development when intense and life changing scenes happen is totally annoying.. I mean.. it's not like Obito hasn't been seeing Naruto as himself this whole time.. Nor that Sasuke has been lied to several times, and experienced pains Nardo couldn't imagine... And is now moving past it... You're right! All characters should stay stale and the same... Even if they're a cliche.
