well as naruto is saying from the 1st ep that he wanna be the strongest ninja for that he need to be better than hashirama senju whose dna is being used by every rogue ninja and was considered the best to be used for the highest level of any jutsu and he even defeated and nearly killed madara along with 9 tails full power which i think was amazing so naruto have to be a lot stronger than madara and hashirama

I don't think that he has to be better than Hashi to become Hokage. The Kages are one of if not the strongest out of their village in their time. BUT Naruto has to be stronger than Madara, because he is his foe.

Hiruzen has surpassed Hashirama, does that mean Hiruzen is stronger than Madara? No. It just means that 1 vs 1 against Hashirama Hiruzen would win because he knows Hashirama's battle style, techniques, and how they work. Naruto doesn't have to defeat Madara 1 vs 1 for him to have surpassed Hashirama. He probably already has and I'm sure Hashirama would be proud.
