People mistake efficiency for not working hard. It was pure efficiency and thinking skill that led Naruto to think of using shadow clones to multiply the results of his training. It is not how long you work that matters. A true measure of hard work is actually how smart and efficiently you work. This is hard work because it shows dedication when you actually put your brain power to work. A guy who works 1000 years to build a bridge is still not as hard of a worker as the guy who thinks of a strategy to build it in 10 minutes.

I agree. Naruto has actually never worked hard. I would like to correct you on Chidori - Sasuke learned Speed, Taijutsu at Lee's Level, and Chidori in a month. Not just Chidori.

Sure, I exaggerated a bit, but to get the point accross.

Naruto didn't train harder than any other individual in the manga, unless there ws someone who didn't train at all.

He trains ubtil he runs out of chakra, that's something everyone else does. He's just lucky he has those reserves.

If he trains until he runs out of chakra, then obviously he works harder than everyone else. Everyone else runs out of chakra sooner than Naruto, therefore he has to train longer and harder than anyone else.

Plus, we constantly see him passing out every time he trains. That speaks to his work ethic.

^ Even regular use of Chakra takes a toll on the body. Which is why in SM, the high body recovery speed makes it easier to use High-end techniques.

Learning Multiple Shadow Clone- The single shadow clone jutsu had been being taught at the academy so it's no surprise he was able to use it, but I can agree the multiple shadow clan was a bit of a stretch.

Rasengan- You can't compare Minato takings years to CREATE the jutsu, versus Naruto's measly few days of EXTREMELY hard work to use it. Naruto still hasn't been shown to use it with one hand I think (besides a recent sage mode use).

Time Skip Abilities- I'm sure Naruto trained through hard work to gain his abilities.

RasenShurikan- Even though he didn't take years to make it, the work and stress combined between him and his shadow clones sure add up too it. Having about a 1,000 shadow clones definitely needs a large chakra reserve, but how difficult do you think it takes to keep chakra sorting throughout them all and still keeping them at work?

Sage Mode- I think we all saw the work he went through to perfect sage mode. At the same time he worked to perfect the Flying Rasen Shurikan.

Lots of work doesn't mean lots of time. What matters is how you use the time.

Naruto isn't a dunce, but he's far from the Sharingan Genius'. Don't undermine the effort he's put in.

I agree. Naruto has actually never worked hard. I would like you do correct on Chidori - Sasuke learned Speed, Taijutsu at Lee's Level, and Chidori in a month. Not just Chidori.

I undermined his achievement to further support my claim.

To anyone who keeps saying he is a hard worker, he really isn't. Every other ninja works just as hard as him.

The only reason Naruto is called a hard worker is because people see him train, but they don't see that it's not hard for him to train.

Think of it like this, a normal guy works all day to achieve something, but doesn't get there, he then keeps trying every single day until he does.
On the other hand, a guy pumped on steroids comes in and try's to do the same thing, except that he succeeds before the day ends.
Did he work harder than the normal guy? No, he was just lucky that he had those steroids to keep him from burning out.

And everyone pants quickly in the manga, it's just to look like they're trying. Naruto has been panting and then immediately goes on to attack again, Sasuke pants and he does the same.

Naruto inheriting the Uzumaki Life forces has been refuted by portrayal and the Sage himself…after being weakened by child birth and having her Bijuu ripped out, Kushina got up and held down 100% Kurama with her chakra chains. Naruto instantly started diying after having only yang Kurama removed and needs life support.

Unless I have a bad translation 16 year old Naruto during rasenshuriken training has about twice as much chakra as Kakashi…
As for his amount of Jutsu after his timeskip training…I think that was to go along with Jiraiya’s philosophy (basically having guts makes you a ninja not having a bunch of techniques)…how many Jutsu did Jiraiya teach Minato? Besides Naruto was training to use Kyuubi’s chakra.
FYI:naruto never went to the hospital cause he was training to much if he did i would like to see the scan

What about after he summoned Bunta the first time? He actually fell unconscious due to training before Jiraiya threw him into the ravine. Then he passed out again after summoning Bunta and slept for 3 day due to his training.

You know, you kinda accused him of working as hard as everyone else, but turned around and said he didn't work hard at all...

Anyway I was always under the impression that Naruto’s thing was that a loser (someone who sucks) could become great (In the Neji battle he was just saying that people can change)…not necessarily that handwork defeats a genius (that was Lee and possibly Gai’s thing)
And Since when did the will to never give up equal ‘worked the hardest’ aren’t you guys just getting mad at your own interpretations?

Actually sasuke spent the month increasing his speed, to the point where he could use Chidori effectively.

I agree. That's why i like lee. He's called a hard worker and his character sticks to it. Naruto has wayyyy too much auto short cuts to be called a worker...
- he can push his body to the breaking point and recovery in one nights sleep when it would take someone else days.
- his stamina is freaking ridiculous. Even when he's out of stamina...he isn't.
- he's picked up the hardest skills in the entire manga in literally the shortest time. Like wtf? He learnt shadow clones in an after noon, rasengan in a week, sm in a few weeks, rasenshuriken in a few days/weeks. It took 'geniuses' years to learn the things he did. And, suddenly, he's now able to strategize better than shikamaru. The guy's the biggest genius in the show.
