Naruto's Flashback.

During the father and son Rasengan scene in Boruto the movie you see a few select flashbacks. Ive been wondering what they mean(at least to the overall Father and son thing during that scene), at 1st i thought its was the key moments with Naruto and his signature tech but a couple have nothing to do with. For those who need refresher.

• Jiraya showing Naruto the Rasengan
• Naruto using Rasengan on Kabuto
• Naruto and Sasuke Rasenga/Chidori clash
• Naruto becomes a Perfect Jin/Kurama accepts him
• Naruto and Hinata during Neji's death
• Naruto and Minata Father and son Rasengan.

Any thoughts on this?

Bolt was seeing them. Naruto was projecting his memories into Bolts mind via chakra so Bolt could finally understand how his father had come so far. He even asks the question "What did he have to do to come this far" after he seen the Rasengan his dad could make.

Naruto was linked to Boruto through the use of chakra. Because of this, Naruto was able to express to Boruto all of the hardships and defining moments he had experienced (okay so maybe not ALL of them, but some of the significant ones). That's what the flashbacks were. They were for Boruto's benefit so that he could finally understand his father and what it took to become Hokage. It's the same thing that happened during the war when everyone was able to experience flashbacks of Naruto's past while shrouded in Kurama's chakra cloak.

It was also a way for the writers to say "Remember all of those epic, nostalgic Rasengan moments? Make this the finale."
