I don't seem to see too many threads on this subject, seems everyone wants to talk about hashi and madara, who is stronger, how did they survive win/lose and all the juubi stuff.
I care more about the weight and decisions on Naruto and Sasuke's shoulders, once they realize the full history of the past. Naruto has the insurmountable task of doing what noone, even Hashirama was capable of doing in the past. Ending the hate in the ninja system. As far as I can see there is more and more evidence that there will always be a hate, even the village that Hashirama helped create wasn't a perfect system, it had flaws that drove Madara against it. What the heck is Naruto going to come up with that is a better solution? How do you end hate, it seems that Madara has a better understanding than Hashi did that there must always be a yang to the yin. How is Naruto going to convince Sasuke out of his evil path, is it even possible? What if Sasuke refuses to come to terms with Naruto, I know Naruto is good at convincing people, but his responsibility is to convince the unconvincable. How does he accomplish this?
Also what path is Sasuke going to choose. Sasuke said the only thing he cared about was his brother, his brother is gone now and the cause he died for was to help protect the village. Where is Sasuke's reasoning going to end up, I'm not sure what he even cares about now, I don't think he knows what to care about anymore. That is why he is consulting the Hokage to get the full history of everything so he can make up his mind what he truly wants. What would Sasuke truly want? If he isn't living to kill his brother, and isn't able to get justice for his brother's death as his brother chose the path that lead to his death. Is he going to find the whole Ninja system or human race at fault and start a crusade to end the system or all life, if so what purpose would that even serve? What is Sasuke's reasoning, I can't see Sasuke going along with a plan to put everyone into a dream world, I just can't see that. But I don't know what other path Sasuke could take, as I really don't see him changing his whole mentality and trying to save the village/ninja system.
I think Kishi has put Naruto and Sasuke up to finding an impossible answer to these life riddles. If Kishi finds a way to truly have a Real answer to these riddles congrats to him. I can't think of a single answer that will solve every problem in the ninja world.
P.S. Hashirama killing Madara really erks me. I never saw Hashi as capable of killing his best friend in the same way I don't see Naruto as capable of Killing Sasuke. No Matter the cause. In my eyes doing such an act would emotionally scar Hashi forever, I dont see how he can later on be so goofy and cavalier, Imagine the emotional turmoil he would have felt considering his capacity to care for another human, especially a best friend.
