Naruto's Clothing

So this has probably been stated before, many many times, but what ever happened to Naruto's cloak? After the Invasion of Pain Arc, Naruto decided being cool was too mainstream and opted to ditch the cooloest cloak in the series. Because, you know, Minato was a badass and all.
This is also kind of like the "That Technique" plot hole that you see. Masashi uses the phrase, but you never find out what jutsu/tech he's talking about. Naruto just had his cloak, and then it simply... goes away.
Also, why does Naruto have to be a butt and like orange so much. I think orange is a pretty cool color, but Naruto's a ninja, there's not much in the world that you camoflauge in with orange.

The reason for orange was explain, well not really a explanation but I still like to take it as if it is. His mom was red, and his dad was yellow. So a mix of red and yellow is apparently orange, so Naruto have to wear orange.

If he wore it too much I think we would eventually get sick of it, like his track clothes. Better to save the cloak for boss fights imo. Doesn't his BM have a cloak resemblance?

I wish to go to Kishimoto, Slap him across the face and simply say, "Give Naruto the f'ing cloak back, you bitch." and just leave. Next chapter one of two things will happen.
A: Naruto is wearing the cloak.
B: Naruto claims he hates the cloak and burns it.

I think the cloak got destroyed when he turned into the kyuubi against pain.
As far as the orange goes it's the color in between yellow and red which were colors that correlated with his parents.
