Nope, Indra was highly concentrated on bashing Sakura that he forgot to see that Naruto's feelings for her existed beyond him. Before Sasuke became a rogue when he was still in the Academy, Naruto loved Sakura as he openely admitted he had a crush on her, slowly by working alongside her, he considered her to be a precious teammate. Naruto's feelings for her developed and Sasuke was a further target to explain their interactions more in Part 2. Naruto has always wanted to keep Sakura happy and he hates it when she cries, obviously the dude as more feelings for her than don't just stick to the one promise he made her.
Also Sakura would be the perfect match for him. Minato and Kushina resembles Naruto and Sakura in quite a way. Their development was far better than what Hinata could do for Naruto.
Naruto actually got the short end of the stick, I mean how would you like it if a woman( the one you love) told you to get another girl because she was in love with someone else. It's a fact that Naruto never had Hinata in mind until a last minute asspull.
Superior female is irrelevant to this thread but I assure you out of the two Sakura is ten times as useful than Hinata.
Naruto's feelings for Sakura were never beyond Sasuke's. However that doesn't mean Naruto didn't care for her person, it just means he never actually liked her for her. He liked the fact that she wanted respect from the same person he did, which deluded his senses into thinking that she was someone he liked. Funny enough Naruto admits that himself right before he tries to kiss her, right before she states she just wants Sasuke (whom Naruto is disguised as) to acknowledge her (in which he replies 'Now I understand why I like her).
Even Sakura herself admitted that and we have people giving their own opinions as if it was more credible than the actual characters. That my good sir is called hypocrisy. I've been seeing a lot of lately, not sure why. But ignorance on both sides is just as pure as ignorance on certain subjects, I'm sure we both understand that much.
Anyway I don't know what Manga you're reading, but Naruto has been compared to Kushina in terms to personality, in contrast to Minato. Sakura has as well. Not sure what kind of bull shit you're spouting about them being in some kind of consistent form of balance. When in fact they have more negative interactions, than positive. Just like her relationship with Sasuke. Yet for some reason, idiots actually think that their relationship was okay. Hell we even have a moment where Naruto was going through so much in his life right after the death of his Master, Tsunade being out cold, and the Village in shambles right after he single-handily stopped Nagato. Sakura contemplates why she is even trying to cheer up Naruto when she should be cheered up instead.
Yet for some darn reason, people actually think their interactions were more than sustainable? Shit, I've only barely touched what's already on thin ice. If I may, Sakura's usefulness doesn't equate to her being a worthy choice for anyone. As shown in the Gaiden, she pretty much proved my point.
