Yes, you are right- Sasuke figured that he wasnot learning properly in konoha because the dead last of his class surpassed him.

Jokes aside... Yes, Sasukes primary goal always was revenge for his Clan, however without Naruto, he would never have left the Village. I think there is no point in waging what factors influinced him how much or even calling numbers on it, the important thing about this is, that Naruto showed him that he wasn't growing fast enough and that for getting his revenge he had to take a better path to strength than the leaf could provide at the time (though the foundation could have provided him with the strength, but Itachi's influence cut off that path, protecting Sasuke from Danzo effectively).
