[Question] NarutoBase RPers

As many of you don't know, I write fanfictions x3


But, I want to also do something else on NarutoBase besides read every Wednesday and post my stories every Friday and Sunday. Therefore, I am asking is the RP side of NB fun? I used to RP a little and I am thinking of going back to it to have a better experience on NB.

So, I'm asking for thoughts on it. No thrashing if you don't, this is just a simple question cause I don't wanna click in there typing "Kick" everywhere when everyone else is like "MUNDO MEGA BOMBA BIJU BOMB" of something like there.

It's fun, the naruto related RP, or I how how should I say it, the official RP separated from the non naruto related RP is actually quite fun and a great way to pass time. you can battle, train in elements, become stronger, go on missions, wars etc.

You'll get the hang of it once you join the trend honey.

You have to, just follow the bio template. Which can be found here..

CLICK On the bio template on the page, and follow the rules and make the bio, a bio is necessarily required for you to RP, well in the naruto related RP. Wether it be a canon or non canon character.

The NB is a wonderful place to put your writing skills to work. A writer such as yourself would be a welcome addition. I love the fact that you have control over what you feel and experience. You get to meet a lot of interesting people and as you grow you learn many things that sometimes cannot be taught even in real life. For some of us hardcore RPers, the RP is our playground or better yet our canvas. You can paint so many pictures that when you look back you will amaze even yourself. The RP isn't just about fighting and "leveling up". It's about discovering yourself and being part of something bigger than yourself.

Don't be scared to join. And even if you were, there are many people who are waiting to help you every step of the way. I hope you do decide to join and share who you are as person with us. If you ever feel worried or unsure about the RP or things relating to the RP you give me a call and I'll help you as best I can.

Well, I have been a part of the RP for 4 going on 5 years now and I find it fun still. The hardest part is indeed the training as it can be a bit tedious to get done. But, once you start training you should find it fun to take place in, battling is a large part of the RP obviously so over time, you will eventually get better at it and have more fun. After a while, you may have ideas of your own for new Jutsu and are able to submit Custom Jutsus, Custom Fighting Styles, even Custom Clans with their own abilities if you become an Official Sage, which is a hard task in itself. Of course, you are able to make your own custom character to start your adventure, but should you choose to want to make a certain Canon character, there are multiple rules for each, some requiring mastery or complete training of certain fields and likely a Battle Test to gauge your skills with said bio. I recommend to make some friends who have similar rp styles with you and casually rp with them. Try starting off with basics of using freeform taijutsu and kenjutsu as you train with a sensei/senpai. Read the rp rules which I believe others have posted and try to not make too many enemies in the rp. The RP tho is more fun when you first start out, so try to enjoy it and make the most of it since the image your "noob-self" creates will be there for a while even if you gain a lot of experience. Also, don't constantly bother the same sensei's over and over, that's why they have a senpai.


As a suggestion to those with higher power reading:
I think it'd be a good idea to allow free-form spars that don't use jutsus without a biography. Specifically for those who do not have a bio and wish to get acquainted with the rp and thus let them know if they really want to make a bio yet or help them get adjusted as they wait for approval.

Nice idea Yard. I wouldn't mind helping with that at all if you are interested in starting something like that. Although I don't think I can do much.

Depends on the power of the jutsu.. For example, say a person A executed Great Fireball Technique towards Person B. If B doesn't have any counter or something to it, he will turn into ashes. The RP works like that.

But still, I don't see why the HP gauge is there though...

Let me elaborate more since that is too vague.

At each rank you have a set amount of Chakra and Health. If you've played Final Fantasy before then Chakra is your MP and Health your HP. Chakra is used for your techniques that you have learned via training and Health is what determines how long you can stay alive. However some logic is applied to attacks such as if you are hit with a large scale attack and no way to effectively counter it then you're dead. But it all depends on who you are battling and what rules you both decide to abide by. Keep in mind though that if you ever decide to battle in the Ninja World that everything is allowed. Even bio stealing and killing so be wary of what you do in the NW. It is recommended that you don't go there until you have had enough training as people there will have no mercy on you.

But that is the fun part about the RP here. There is so many ways to distinguish yourself and grow as a character. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication but it is well worth it. To be honest, since being in the RP my writing skills have improved significantly. I just wish I had NB when I was in high school and maybe I would have gotten a better score on my SAT.

I urge anyone who wants to achieve the same results to pursue joining the RP. It is worth a shot if anything. I mean what else are you going to do with your time on NB? .-.
