Narutobase profile backgrounds...how do I make mine interesting?

So, I have been going through some members profiles and I am really liking their profiles. For example: Parrish, Hypemaster, and Elendur.

Now, I just wanted to know how can I edit my profile to be interesting. I do enjoy all of your guys (and girls if any of you three are) profile themes.

Also, I enjoy the shiny sigs ( i think that is what they are called ) some of you members have. Like they say something and then it has a shining effect. Also, how do you put the gif or picture under your post like most members have?

The username part I gfx'd myself, and the other one's I got off Tumblr.
But use the link that the other people in this thread provided, it's teaches you how to do most of the stuff.
