Why are people complaining a fanboy problem?

This is a tournament about "Narutobase Official Narutoverse Rankings"

So if there are fanboys around, so what? They are part of the NarutoBase and hence the rankings at the end of the tournaments will be according to the NarutoBase people. It doesnt have to be logical, there is no X>Y.

After these tournaments we will find out Narutobase's opinion on the rankings, fanboys included, they are part of the community

L.E.: I say go for it, but why not make a voting system, where people would have to vote for each character and his place in the rankings(e.g. 1(st place)2, 3 etc) and then just take the average of all characters's votes and you can determine who has lowest average, is the strongest =D

The reason for not a simple poll is because voters will complain about match ups. With the tournament style it eliminates match ups as a whole as the strongest character available will most likely always win the tournament overall. Because even if a match up that doesnt favor someone occurs in a round, the next round they will be facing someone completely different...
Also tournament style will negate the effects of Edo Tensei and Suicidal techniques which arent really an accurate measure of ones ability overall in my opinion.

Yes that does seem like a good way but people will complain about match ups and ABC logic. The method you just suggest, while really good and probably a whole lot faster, doesnt go in depth of and doesnt eliminate that problem that many complain about. Also I started the first tournament if you would like to check it out and stay updated.
