I first started on NB in 2012 when I was 14 because I was really intrigued by the debates that were happening here. I stumbled across this website while looking for somewhere to read the manga. My first account was TheRedAndGreenBeast, which I forgot the password to
Since then, I've made some pretty cool friends on here - though none of them are active on this site anymore - that I still speak to on Whatsapp/Snapchat/Discord quite regularly.
My best memories here are definitely playing the Death Note RPG games. If you're new to this site, then they were Death Note themed Mafia games. I really looked forward to playing them, and all my NB friends were friends that I'd made from that game (from SoulKiller to Spandi to Numbers and so on).
NB has given me a platform to express my analytical and problem solving skills by debating and playing the DN games which I'm very grateful for. It developed them perhaps even more than school did, as I was far more interested in proving Joker was Kira or tricking over 20 people into believing that my team and I were innocent than explaining that Curley's wife wore red as a symbol of danger and lust. Explaining to people how Itachi loses to Minato, or how Kabuto is top 5 (lol remember the days) was far more entertaining and thought provoking than learning which types of rocks have which properties.
NB was also a great escape from reality. I was depressed when I was a lil bit younger, and coming here was one of the things that eased it.
I'm not really active on here (in fact, I didn't even know it was still running). I don't even watch anime that much anymore. I get really into certain series - Kaiji was the latest one - but often get bored of them at some point. Nothing has really perked my interest as much as Naruto, Liar Game or Death Note did (ok Monster was pretty close). I guess my nerdy guilty pleasure these days is playing Pokemon on Showdown (which, btw, is so much fun and if anyone wants to hop on with me I'd be happy to join them).
I came to NB as a bored, curious little secondary (or middle if you're not British) school runt and now I'm a bored, curious university student/investment banker (or at least next year I am anyway). I think it's time I came back (until I get swamped with work at least!).
To re-introduce myself, I am Yami Silver, or Red (if you wanna go by my old user), or Tai (a shortened version of my actual name). I'm a British maths student who loves expressing his mind. I probably don't know anyone here so I'll say it's nice to meet you!
