Jiraiya was one of the best characters in the manga. I don't really get the "feels" in anime, but when Jiraiya died it felt like I lost my own Uncle, Grandfather, etc.,

He was the best.

I think the other characters are getting time in the new movie.
I mean Jiraiya was Naruto's father in a sense. It just seems weird that he never thought about him at all.
