Okay, that whole entire response is the irrelevant drivel of a fanboy. Sasuke didn't have killing intent, if he did, he would've killed Naruto. Naruto went for the forehead protector because it was closest to him. He'd need an extra 6-10 inches in arm length to reach the body. Chidori = Rasengan, as the manga has proven, time and time again. They said "Damn it!" and "Can't stop!" because Sakura was running into the center and they didn't want to kill her.
Seriously, Kishi has always, always said that Naruto and Sasuke are supposed to be equals. If they weren't, the themes of Yin & Yang would fall on it's face. He got around it in Part 1, literally by making Sasuke taller.
