In regards of other series, Contracts aren't just "Show up when I need you" it costs something. Most of the time something that outweighs the benefits.

There is a difference, in this scenario, Gamabunta is Naruto's summon contracted by a blood seal. Where Gamabunta resides isn't miles away.

If Udon made a sealing contract and actually had enough chakra to summon Naruto then how is he not powerful? Especially when Naruto can imbue him with Bijuu Levels of chakra and abilities.

You're also assuming Naruto runs away and lets Gamabunta fight for him. Gamabunta's presence alone would make Sasuke wary and put him in a disadvantage to begin with. Something he could probably achieve by using a clone to pretend he summoned him.

I mean it's gonna be hard to fight when your opponent just summoned a giant toad that isn't moving an inch while you're fighting your main opponent.

No. Edo tensei is exactly what I was talking about.

Gamabunta doesn't have to fight, his presence is enough to make Sasuke wary of him. Like I said before, trying to fight when you don't know whether a massive toad is going to decide to jump in makes a difference. Even as a mental tactic.

At that point in time Sasuke maxed out at Chidori, naruto peaked at Summoning Gamabunta.

Naruto performance with Gaara was better than what sauce did.
