Naruto won't become Hokage

At the end of the series, given Naruto does not die, when (if) he is nominated for Hokage, he will refuse the title.

Sasuke returned to the village with Orochimaru, his resolve was changed by Itachi, and reinforced by Hashirama. Naruto had no part in Sasuke changing his resolve.

Yup. He couldn't and didn't save Sasuke. Which is kinda f*cked up because he's been trying so hard.

Sasuke and naruto will walk into the sunset, orochimaru will get destroyed, all tailed bijuus will return back to their original form as the sage foretold, the juubi will return back to being mother nature in till humanity starts a huge war again, the four kages and madara will return back to the afterlife where madara and hashirama will chat and stuff train each othe, hashirama might also meet itachi and tell him how sasuke became good and give huge props to itachi, tobirama will teach minato some new tricks about ftg and other s/t, sakura will remain fodder and the others will move up to jonin, and live their lives till their are all dead

That does not even make sense, Naruto wanted Itachi to talk to Sasuke. Naruto has gotten what he wanted, that won't stop him from being Hokage.

I still feel it will be Naruto. And I still feel like he is going to do something 'Naruto-like' that will continue to move Sasuke back from his douche ways...True, others got Sasuke back, but Naurto has always been fighting for him.

It will be Naruto because he has earned the respect of not only the village, but of other ones as well. That isn't there for Sasuke and how he approached his life over the years.

Well i think Naruto will have one more test and that will make him Hokage because Tsunade seems like she may end up retiring but Naruto is still a Genn just to tell you. He will have to do a lot of S-Class missions to get to Hokage.

Naruto couldn't save Sasuke because Naruto didn't had the answers to Sasuke questions. He didn't know why and how Itachi killed the clan, he didn't know why the Uchiha's where mistreated. He didn't know why Hashirama created Konoha. Naruto saving Sasuke was mission imposible. Kishi made a mistake by making Naruto claim he can't be Hokage unless he saves Sasuke.

I'm pretty sure saving the world from Madara/Obito and the Juubi is a top-notch S-class mission.

But you see he said I won't let my friends die and they did, naruhina is not canon but probably has the highest chances which is also different of his "Sakura chaaan,s" attitude.. I don't disagree with what you are saying but I also see him changing a lot
