This is an interesting thread with a lot of well constructed arguments, and it's definitely a subject I think about often. Obviously, the answer to this question is highly subjective, and I don't believe there is a single right answer. I like reading everyone's opinion on the matter, though, and I hope this discussion goes on.

I wouldn't remove Sasuke's Curse Mark Transformation, Like I've said before the whole thing on Naruto w/o Kurama, isn't as bad as it sounds... Really.
I'd see it where Naruto does still train with Jiraya, He just does so, more heavily. Thus adding to his skills in using summons. I'd say he'd be proficient enough to summon a few good toads to aid him at first. Their using sage chakra makes it impossible for Sasuke to read them. Giving Naruto a temporary lead, until one of three options happen.
1. Sasuke's second state gives him a good enough boost to push back the Toad Naruto summoned.
2. The time limit on the summon runs out.
3. Naruto does something to piss out the Toad and he leaves(unlikely for Naruto to do something like this in a desperate moment)
After either of the first two options Naruto has to haul ass to keep up, but barely can. Lastly, Naruto does a reckless but helpful move to try to gain a foothold. Say pulling out a Clone assisted Rasengan Super Barrage or something. Manages to damage Sasuke but not Enough. Both nearing their limits, they both go for that clash and Sasuke still beats him.

Now let's imagine that Sasuke awakened his third tomoe and fought Naruto without the enhanced physical strength and speed of the Nine-Tails chakra, you obviously know the result of this scenario. Just admit that Naruto has relied on a foreign power for so much that he was completely creamed by Sasuke who had his own plethora of abilities that he didn't even learn from his clan.

The fight showed who was doing the real training out of the two. Sasuke's surprising chakra reserves, skill with kunai, and proficiency in taijutsu showed which of the two was really trying to be a ninja. Mind you, Sasuke hadn't gotten any training from his clan but still showed a much more formal mastery of taijutsu in comparison to Naruto's brawler style.

Well the only concrete evidence we have to decide this were the small instances that they both fought in base. On the rooftop they were pretty much equal. In the beginning of VOTE 1 sasuke was landing the most punches but it really didn't matter since naruto has more durability than sasuke so even if sasuke is more successful in cqc naruto always has kage bunshin mix ups to even it out. Even with 2 tomeo naruto is still too unpredictable with shadow clones so sasuke has to rely on chidori to finish the fight but obviously rasengan stalemates it. So in the end we have assume that sasuke unlocks 3tomeo mid way to really break the tie.

So by evidence shows

Base sasuke = base naruto

2tomeo sasuke = base naruto with shadow clones

3tomeo sasuke > base naruto with shadow clones

Cm 2tomoe sasuke > naruto with shadow clones

Now if we are talking about 2tomeo sasuke vs base naruto, I would say it can go either way or end in stalemate. The argument of sasuke reading naruto's attacks is irrelevant since naruto has always fell behind in one on one combat against sasuke and always relied on shadow clones to counter sasuke's sharingan. This is even seen in the beginning of there anime potrayal of the VOTE 2 filler fight. Plus even if sasuke lands the most punches, naruto has more durability to take more punches than sasuke so in the end they would just tire each other out which in turn would be a stalemate. They have to rely on other means to kill each other like weapons or Justus which neither have shown to utilize against each other in any of the portrayals of their fights besides fire style , chidori ,and rasengan all which were shown to be countered. I guess you could say sasuke has the edge since he has more jutsus and more skill in weapons but then you could also say naruto has more chakra reserves and yata yata yata ....... in the end it's all speculation

Naruto only landed a hit on Sasuke during the hospital fight when the sun got in his eye, and even then, it took mass numbers of shadow clones to even come close to landing a hit on one man.

Naruto and Sasuke's skill had a large gap, and the Sharingan only widens that gap.

KN1 Naruto punched 3T Naruto in the face point-blank and slammed CS 3T Sasuke into a mountain whilst receiving moderate damage at most. KN1 Naruto on the other-hand, had his entire arm broken by simple slap from CS2 3T Sasuke in spite of the thick sheet of chakra that protects his entire body. It's rather explicit that CS2 3T Sasuke was superior and given that his Chidori (the inferior jutsu) stalemated KN1 Naruto's Rasengan, I'm certain Kishimoto would agree.

I know and I said that there was some credence within that statement. Naruto was powerless against Sasuke without Kurama and was staggered by Sasuke's tremendous growth in power, therefore, there is some justification for their argument. With that being said, it's rather explicit given the scope of this thread, everyone was referring to Naruto without Kurama. Even without it, who the hell cares when your response to begin with was impertinent to the discussion?
