Well considering plot shield prevented Naruto from beating Sasuke 3 times, I'm going go with Sasuke without plot shield wouldn't be looking pretty good against Naruto. Sasuke got his butt saved from plot just like Naruto so what was the point in this but showing everyone you only pay attention to when Plot save Naruto but not Sasuke?

Honestly, I don't understand why so many people get upset that Naruto is the most powerful character in the series. He is the main/title character. This really shouldn't be a surprise to anybody. He carried the entire Alliance (Sasuke included) through the most recent war, and yet there are still people that claim that Sasuke is still better than Naruto.

I'm not saying that either character is stronger than the other at this point. Their interaction with So6P and the fact that Naruto has been training/fighting in the war for several days straight essentially guarantees that Naruto and Sasuke are pretty much even going into their final showdown.

As for the Plot Shield crap, how about we list all of the times that BOTH Naruto AND Sasuke benefited from plot:

1. Naruto would have been killed when he was born, and Sasuke would have died in Obito's initial attack on Konoha at the very beginning of the series.

2. Itachi would have also killed Sasuke during the Uchiha massacre.

3. At the Academy, they would have failed their first test with Kakashi without the protection of plot.

4. On their way to the Land of Waves, they would have both been killed by Zabuza or even that shinobi that was hiding in the puddle.

5. Haku would have killed Sasuke and then would have killed Naruto.

6. The Chunin Exams were full of Plot Shields. All three members of Team 7 would have failed if Naruto hadn't yelled out. They would have been killed by Orochimaru in the Forest of Death. The Sound shinobi would have killed them all if Lee hadn't intervened. They would have gotten lost in the Forest of Death if Kabuto hadn't helped. They would have been killed by the Water Clone shinobi. They would have both lost in the next round. Naruto would have lost in the final round, and Sasuke would have been disqualified for being late.

7. Gaara would have killed them both.

The list goes on, and this is still very early in the series. The fact is that nearly every character in the series survived due to the plot at some point or another. In fact, most recently, Obito, Madara, and Kaguya each should have won the war at some point if it weren't for the fact that Kishi didn't let them.

Both were shielded by plot. Remember. Sasuke was owned by Bee not once but twice. Owned by Ay. Deidara wouldve killed him. Itachi would have if he didn't have aids.

If Naruto wasn't the main character then he more than likely would have both his parents since the manga needed Naruto to lose both his parents to have a sad childhood and go through everything he did. Minato wouldn't sacrifice his life to seal Yang Kurama into Naruto to give Naruto power to fight the mask man or to maintain the power balance between nations, he would have Kushina seal it back into her so it dies with her which in turn keeps her alive since that's how Naruto was revived. Plot deem Naruto to lose both his parents but if not main character then he doesn't need to have the life he did so he would be much stronger than Many Kage levels due to having Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya, and Kakashi all training him.

With Minato and Kushina alive, Uchiha coup probably wouldn't happen since Kushina and Sasuke mom were friends and they might help their husbands reach an understanding peacefully so Sasuke would have Itachi, his dad, and Shisui to train him as well. Plot revolves around the main character and those around him/her/them.

Not really, his base would be far stronger due to him not playing pranks for attention, he would have his parents and not be hated by villagers, he would t have Kurama so he would be weaker in power but his overall skills would be higher due to being trained by Minato who himself would be much stronger due to being alive 17 years more. Naruto would have his dad speed, if not surpassing, Rasengan, Uzumaki sealing jutsus from his mom and/or dad, summoning toads from Jiraiya or Minato, Jiraiya's hair jutsus, toad stomach, Sage mode, better chakra control earlier on (Kurama made it harder on Naruto), he would probably have at least 2 elements (Kakashi said most Jounins have at least 2) plus jutsus with them, and use shadow clone training to speed up his training as well.

So overall Naruto would be stronger in different ways but he wouldn't have the power Kurama granted him.
