Being mature is knowing when something is too idealistic to be possible. Naruto is the dreamer type, and likes to think that any one person can change the world. It takes a whole world of people to make a change, which can only be done through influence, something that Naruto seems to have a lot of, but not everyone has the same ideals and moral values..

But in reality, it does take one person to change the world..If someone said hey lets make a world goverment and started doing something and etc. He will be changing the world. Thats what the whole prophecy about Naruto Uzumaki is about. Not everyone has the same ideals.. true. But thats where influence comes in.

Naruto thinking he can shoulder the whole burden of war and stop people from dying was immature. As well placed his thinking was, countries cannot get through wars like that and with more battle experience he will understand that.

You mean him acting like the 4th hokage was immature ;p. He wasn't being selfish.. He wanted to protect his loved ones, thats all. And that is not immature. That is what Real men like Hashirama and Sarutobi and Minato do.
All itachi did was tell him that, he is not by himself in this war. Minato did everything on his own.. instead of askin Sarutobi for help.

BUT all itachi did was tell Naruto that he has other people to rely on, and that he is not alone anymore. Naruto's mentality is understandable.. He is the major target..TO HIM his friends are being attacked because of him... So it is totally understandable thinking ^.^

Nah, he's just an immature kid with a great amount of determination and motivation, who believes that he can change the world.

Naruto can be very immature and he will never have a decent amount of conventional book smarts. However, he has a great deal of emotional intelligence and empathy. You can't judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree.

I don't agree when you said he's wiser than most people. He still lacks maturity and life experience that most kages have. Like that time Itachi was talking to Naruto. Itachi just gave Naruto a life lesson in less than a minute talking to him. Naruto still has alot of growing up to do.

What Naruto does have though is a pure heart and that will make him surpass every other kage in that sense.

Naruto has shown to be very intelligent. Sasuke is the immature one betraying his village just because Itachi killed his parents and for power then when he finds out it was Itachi's mission he goes emo that shows his not mature enough to be a shinobi, shinobis are trained to deal with stuff like this take Kakashi for example the village was responsable for his dad killing himself but not once did Kakashi betray the village he actually became more loyal to them and followed the rules.

Jiraya is probably the Wisest guy in the show too.. yet he was cocky. And Itachi didn't tell him what to do. He told him something that he needed to hear. Jiraya had many options for spying.. He could have easily took someone with him. But he thought he was plenty. I wish that Naruto had stayed so mature after the talk with Nagato...i thought it was badass when he went total peacemaker on us and let the cloud ninjas beat the shit out of him without saying anything to stop them, just to protect his friend (well, friend in his mind).
