Naruto will not become the hokage.

Its just a simple reason.
He dont want to become a hokage if he cant save his own best friend.
He actually failed because Hashirama did the job.

Why would he become hokage ?

Im not hating on naruto. he is a strong dude but he didn't save his best friend.
i think even sasuke might save him when he joined the battlefield.

Naruto will still be hokage, even if sasuke dies or if naruto wasnt the reason sasuke returned. Remember naruto promised that he wouldnt allow his friends to die:

Whether everybody likes it or not, Naruto is about to get a major power up from Minato. He will probable be getting the rest of Kurama's chakra which should enable him to take all of the tailed beasts within himself. This will help fulfill SO6P prophecy that someone will reunite lead them on the right path. Also Naruto met all of the tailed beasts, spoke to them and earned their respect and their belief that he is the one to unite them.

At that point he will be considered the same way as SO6P. Naruto has also been thinking about the idea of peace more often since his fight with Pain. He could have killed Pain and Konnan and chose not to. He wants to try to find a way for the Ninja World to live in peace and has been promising that he would. He does not usually give up on his promises and might see the Hokage job as a detriment to that.

His dream might be changing, or he might feel he is too young to become Hokage at this time. I think deep down he knows he is not ready for that job yet. He wants to go forward with Juraiya's legacy. He told Pain he is Juraiya's legacy. Traveling around like Juraiya did might be what he decides to do. Not to spy like Juraiya did but to get to know the people and their problems. The main 5 villages formed an alliance but he might want to find out what the small villages went through. He couldn't possibly solve the peace problem if he has no idea what's going on outside of the Leaf Villages' borders.

I think when the war is over he might decide to do some traveling and pass on the Hokage job for now. This way Kishi could end the story like he did between 1 and 2 and go back to it years later if he chooses to.

I agree that Naruto will not be the Hokage.

P.S. Japanese cinema and literature are filled with examples of heroes getting killed of or not getting what they wanted.

The main point is... Naruto wanted Sasuke to change. It doesn't matter if he changed Sasuke or not, as long as Sasuke isn't bad anymore.

Do you think Naruto would deny becoming Hokage just because he himself didn't change Sasuke? That's stupid thinking. He would be glad that Sasuke had a change of heart.

All that's left is for him to make Sasuke come back to Konoha.

Honestly I want Naruto to be hokage but sometimes I have doubts that he would ever get the shot since I believe that he may die in the end as a hero without becoming a kage in the first place. :dunno:
