Throughout the series, Kishi has themed that the power in believing in oneself is the most effective way to get to one's goals. One has something that they want to protect/accomplish/win/confirm, and he/she fights for that dream at all costs. Naturally, since everyone in the naruto universe has opposing dreams, there is conflict/battles/war/disharmony. It is a world full of chaos, misery and suffering. Those who believe in themselves, never give up, and are cleverly able to strategize through difficult situations prevail.
There was a structure built to contain that suffering. The shinobi world, the village system- these are things that were created to maintain peace and order. Yet even these systems are insufficient. There is still war and conflict and suffering. Further, these systems do not acknowledge any suffering that does not lie within the realm of their agendas.
Pain's plan was to attempt to instill absolute fear of pain so that people would obey the system completely rigidly. Pain felt that this would be the best way to achieve peace. Naruto had the courage to defy this logic despite not knowing the solution to the problem. Naruto has vowed to find the ANSWER, no matter what.
Now Tobi has created the idea of Infinite Tsukuyomi . Through this method, he will unify the world under his own principles of peace. He will eliminate any opposing ideas and simply have everyone live in a collective reasoning- devoid of conflict, contradiction and war. People will still live within the world of ideas and concepts about eachother, but they will all be unified under Tobi's ideas and concepts about the "perfect world".
Kishi has brought up a question: how is it possible to live in a world with separation, conflict and opposition and simultaneously put an end to suffering? How can people have different understandings of the world yet truly connect to each other through a shared TRUTH? There are some, like Tobi, who deem this impossible and dream of worlds where there is no conflict. Yet Naruto challenges this hopeless attitude, and hopefully this means that he will somehow discover a shared TRUTH in a world of conflict.
Any label, such as “Senju” can prevent other people from seeing the real human being within oneself. Giving labels to things provides necessary lower-level understanding about the world around us, and thus allows us to function in the many areas of knowledge created by human thought. Yet these labels also create the problem of being caught in a world full of separation. If one is attached to a world full of labels (knowledge), and only functions on that dimension of reality (which has been created by the forgotten “higher level” of reality,) one’s view of the world becomes very limited. One’s view of the world creates a rigid perception of judgment of the world. It is refined as more knowledge and experiences feed this perception. During a life altering event, it may in fact be radically changed. Yet during the space of that change of perception where, in a sense, one’s character is changed, who is that person? What is left is the higher dimension of no-labeling, which is free to modify, re-arrange and re-invent the self-image/ego/structure/character/labeler.
It would be beautiful if Naruto discovers this TRUTH in some way, thus fulfilling the wishes of all of the characters that have put their faith in him. This would be the ultimate way to prove that the Infinite Tsukiyomi
is not the right way to end suffering. It would merely trap everyone permanently in a world of illusion. By experiencing life through this TRUTH, Naruto would have the potential to create a harmonious world without disrupting the structure of the Shinobi.
