The only other people capable of using Mokuton would've been Kaguya (who is the Juubi) and the JuubiJins. Manga stated that Ashura inherited the Sage's body, and Obito said that being the JuubiJin gave him the Sage's body.

In other words, Hashirama inherited Mokuton because Ashura possessed the power of a Juubi Jinchuuriki, including the ability to use Mokuton.

He was never shown with chakra chains, but again Uzumaki DNA comes from Ashura which means his genes gave them that ability. It's more proof that Ashura's body was influenced by the Juubi's power because chakra chains are originally a Gedo feat and the statue is part of the Juubi.

But it is a possibility he could make a chakra avatar with his own power I just don't wanna jump to conclusions that you can "inherit" bijuu chakra but I guess its possible

RSM gives the user Six Path Senjutsu which can only be used if the user has either Kaguya's chakra or the chakra of all 9 bijuu. Ashura wasn't a jinchuuriki which means he was born with some of the Juubi's chakra.

A few things I want to pick out on:

1) Madara's having Ranton was never expanded on and has a few logical explanations. It could've been a birth inheritance, or it could be down to having the Juubi or Rikudou Senjutsu.
2) Asura was never shown to have Mokuton canonically, in fact Hashirama is the only one known to have it from birth. KKGs can seemingly manifest randomly at any point, as people from different villages with no discernible connection have the same KKGs. It would be odd for Hashirama to be the only Senju to have Mokuton, if it weren't unique to him.
3) It's unclear whether the Juubi was using it, or whether Obito was using the Juubi as a medium. That's not an important note though.
4) Jinchuurikis don't get the KKGs, the Bijuus dispense their KKG chakra to the user. Biiiiiig difference.

it's 100%, I might also say, innevitable. you see, kintoki and gintoki spent only a few days in kyubi, and they have got some of hes chakra to the point where they can havee a chakra cloak. you can already see the effects of kyubi's chakra on boruto and himawari's faces (like their father they have these things like a cat on their faces). their father is the perfect jinshuriki, of course they have some bijuu chakra in their genes. I'm pretty sure of it, I'm sure boruto can even find in him the power to make a bijuu avatar.

Naruto had the whisker marks before the kyuubi was put inside of him, also they ate the kyuubi's flesh getting his chakra not absorbing it indirectly. But obviously it is possible

he had it because he grew up in his mom and had the kyubi chakra all over him, just like kintaku and gintaku and boruto and himawari.
