Yet, these are the rankings based on which the WSJ decides which series deserve to be cancelled (Iron Knight being the recent one) and which series deserve to be continued and get an Anime adaptation.
These rankings, based on the Japanese reader surveys, are the ones people at WSJ are interested in and not in the opinions we, online readers have.
i know but there where so many series with huge potential but all of them got canccelled because of this shitty biased rankings

Darn. I was starting to like Iron Knight.

Question: If the first place is gained, does that manga/mangaka receives something for the result. . . or it's just simply like that, first place. . . ? hmm

No, they receive nothing.
These rankings are weekly, and can be determined through the table of contents, which is provided at the end of the every WSJ issue.
The rankings are based on Japanese reader surveys and they hold the purpose for WSJ to determine which series is popular enough to be continued and which ones deserve to be cancelled. With the last two issues Weekly Shonen Jump has cancelled two new series, which didn't do well in these exact rankings.

Totally canceled? :erm:

I mean, can't they continue in some other magazine? hmm

Yes, they can continue in some other magazine if the magazine itself accepts the series, but getting a series cancelled in a certain magazine (while the Weekly Shonen Jump is currently the most popular of all) can be a cause of bad reputation for a Mangaka and his respective series... hmm

Yup, Naruto is nowhere near at a threat of getting that kind of treatment from WSJ...
Also, if you look at the rankings of Bleach this past year, you'll see that its rankings have gotten quite bad and sometimes they are even worse than the rankings of the ones getting cancelled, but because of Bleach's past spot in the so-called "Big 3" and its high sales rates, WSJ keeps publishing Bleach and will probably let the Mangaka finish it without cancellation. Sadly, new series don't get that kind of treatment...

I had my fears when Iron Knight started in WSJ, and now it is cancelled. I hope World Trigger doesn't get the same treatment as Iron Knight, I'm really loving the series...

About Bleach, are those low rankings of the Manga connected with the cancelling of the Anime? hmm

I also hope World Trigger will survive...

Well, the cancellation of the Anime always effects the popularity and sales rates of a Manga series, but even with no Anime at all, some other Manga series still do better than Bleach in the rankings... Guess, Japanese readers aren't too fond of this current arc.
I remember, the time Aizen was there, Bleach almost never fell out of the top 5 in the rankings.

Well, this isn't Dragon Ball, where the same villain reappears a thousand times. . . :erm: . . . :yeah:
