I think a lot of people stated this already and i think it was stated in the manga as well naruto is a battle ready ninja meaning in the heat of battle that is we're his true genius is shown. And on the point of bred to fight I would have to say this is true the stamina, stronge chakra and life force he inherit from his mother and his father's quick thinking maybe not as technical as his father but none the less minato is able to come up with a plan quick on the battlefield....,
