Naruto vs Sasuke

Imo, this Naruto vs Sasuke will never be as epic as the first, the one in the valley. The tension cannot be recreated, the fight was so natural and emotional. This one seems so forced, it just has to happen for plot reasons and not because of good writing. This is just my opinion, if you have any reasons why this fight will be really epic please share your thoughts. =)

Sasuke had finally grown out of this irrational revenge obsession after his encounter with Itachi and the previous kage. He worked together with the alliance to save mankind. Then he does a 180 and goes on about a revolution and revenge even though the 5 nations have formed an alliance and the hearts of the shinobi have ended the hate for each other. Thats why its forced.

This fight has been hyped since their first encounter in shippuden. I don't know if you're new to the fan base, but people have been predicting, and waiting for this for years. Even with Sasuke's recent changes in motives, its been forshadowed by Sai, Juugo, Sakura, and Kakashi that Sasuke's true motives were still unknown and they had no true reason to trust him.

I guess you were forgetting about the power ups Sasuke received before their fight in the valley. Curse mark, curse mark mode, etc I wouldn't necessarily say Naruto's chakra was his own, technically a power up.

The only 180 he did was him deciding to become hokage. Sasuke had the idea of getting revenge on Konoha for what they did to the Uchiha clan, then after Hashirama's flashback explanation, Sasuke has decide to fight for the people rather than destroy the people and become hokage.

Everything he was doing before Hashirama's explanation was out of revenge; killing Itachi, killing Danzo, attacking Konoha.

Now everything Sasuke does know is a radical extreme of his revolution; defeating Kaguya, killing the tailed beasts, killing the gokage.

In Sasuke's mind everything he's doing is for the betterment of mankind, although it appears evil and cynical.

I don't think the fight is forced at all. Their paths totally diverged at VOTE, yet they ended up at exactly the same place.
They both want separate paths again, only this time, just one path will remain standing.

In many ways, it should be more emotional and powerful.

I don't think so. Visually - yeah, sure, but otherwise - no. This battle is extremely hyped, Kishi will most likely not live up to most fans' expectations, which by default will make them say it was worse than VoTE, even if it wasn't. Back in Part 1, nobody really knew what to expect, N&S were rivals back then too, but now... it's on a whole other level. If they created a giant sphere of energy back then, they should shake the Earth or something now, lol.

I really hope it's not too DBZ like, i'll honestly be content with a solid, not over-the-top fight.
