Serious discussion here.

If Naruto and Sasuke were to fight, who would come out on top?

Give details and reasons. Don't just say "Naruto solo's" or "Saskue solo's".

Also, what do you think the reason for fighting would be? Hokage seat? Sasuke's betrayal? What reason do you think?

I say sasuke will lose the fight but end up becoming hokage. My logic behind this is because, naruto is the main character. Being the main character it would be a major let down to the fans of the series for him to both beat sasuke and become hokage. Kishi is going to pick one or the other. Well right now Naruto has been given more OP upgrades first, but I think Sasuke will still get perfect Susanoo and another EMS Tech soon.

Way back in the chunnin arc Sasuke said he wanted to fight Naruto. So i've always wanted those god like Genins to go back to the village. Take the test. And Fight each other. And both tie.

Fighting Naruto would be annoying as hell.
It's like knowing you're ALWAYS fighting against a clone.

I don't really know who would win.
But Naruto is a big softie, it might be his downfall.

OT: Naruto would win. His feats are far more impressive in the war arc.

As for the motive behind the fight; It will have to do with Sasuke wanting to fix the system and starting with Naruto as the "King" because of Kurama.

As for why they would fight: Possibly to decide the direction the Shinobi world should take.
