We know Naruto's cloak can disperse his chakra shrouds like a legitimate shield, and we know the weaker versions of his cloak that he gave out to the alliance can survive a juubi storm that Madara needed an incomplete susanoo to block out.
His speed and destructive capacity give him the legitimate edge. He also has a much higher vitality via his uzumaki heritage, and we know his stamina is incredibly high.
